Bowie Knife

The John Nowill Bowie Knife is a classic, high-quality fixed-blade knife designed for strength, durability and versatility. Hand-ground and mirror-polished by our Sheffield craftsmen, it is available in a range of sizes and configurations.

The Bowie knife is known for its iconic shape and frontier history. It originated in the early 1800s and is named after James Bowie, the legendary American frontiersman. The blade is stamped with the original maker’s mark – “JOHN NOWILL – SHEFFIELD – EST. A.D. 1700”. The full tang construction gives the knife considerable strength and balance making it suitable for heavy-duty tasks.

It is supplied with a very sturdy leather sheath.

Ideal for collectors, outdoors enthusiasts, and anyone seeking a reliable, historically accurate Bowie knife.
